Life between 39th and 45th street: reflections on CSW 67
When walking these blocks in this city full of contrasts – inequalities – I come across many people like me, walking hastily from one session or negotiation to another, usually tired, sometimes full of hope but also sometimes feeling a bit desperate: are we listened to?

Reality check! Accelerating gender justice and SRHR through digital technologies
On 14 March, we hosted a panel at CSW 67. Digital technologies have the transformative potential to accelerate gender equality. However, for that to happen, the online environment needs to be conducive to dismantling entrenched power dynamics that undermine gender justice and equality. This session built on the findings of the Masarouna program and our work with young people in MENA on claiming SRHR.
The session brought together a panel of experts from the Masarouna program, including our consortium member Fe-Male and partner Raseef 22, UNICEF, and UNFPA to explore how digital technologies accelerate their work on SRHR, while rethinking new alternatives for influencing and resilience amid increasing shrinking of civic space.

‘‘To me, this side event was indeed a reality check. The panellists made it very clear that sexual and reproductive health and rights and digital aspects cannot be separated when we are talking about feminism and rights.’’
